In 2012ish, I remember being devastated that Konami was shutting down the game. I was kid back then, and didn't really have a lot of friends.
Online 3: Duel Accelerator (PC) overview and full product specs on CNET.
Anyway, the point is, I didn't know about game-shops and that there were other people who would play with me in my city.
Jump to today, I repair the hole in my heart with Magic, because that's what my boyfriend is into, and I was already pissed that I spent so much money on Yugioh and didn't have anything to show for it.
I go to this gameshop and there are 20+ Yugioh players!!!! I couldn't believe it. I get so excited. One guy from Iraq hears me kinda snooping around and asking questions and starts hitting on me. In that process, he offers to teach me. 'Oh, that's ok.' I respond, 'I've been playing Yugioh for YEARS!' I explain about the Online Duel Accelerator going down and never picking up the game again. He tells me that it's back up.
Well, I did some research and I'm getting weird answers. It's up, but only as beta? And they already announced that they're not going to make it a thing?
Look, I just want to get back into and/or get my cards reimbursed. I don't really wanna spend the hundreds of dollars I already invested on a game I probably am no longer that good at.
Any tips?
