Realtek PCIe FE family controller for windows 10 My laptop (HP Pavilion dv4 1530 ca) was working without any issues until last week when I opted for Windows 10 update after its release in July 2015. It had Windows 7, upgraded to Windows 8 and then to 8.1. The Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller device has one or more Hardware IDs, and the list is listed below. Hi John,
We're here to help you with this issue. This issue could be caused due to compatibility issues between drivers and the operating system. I would suggest you to try these steps and check:
First, let run the built in network troubleshooter which can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings that could cause network issues. Right click on the network icon in the notification area and select 'troubleshoot' to launch the Windows network diagnostics tool. If the issue still persists, then I would suggest you to install the latest Windows 7 drivers from the manufacturer's website in compatibility mode and check. You can download the drivers from the following page:
Once you have downloaded the driver file, right click on the file, choose 'properties' and then install then select the option to install the driver file in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Keep us posted on the results for further assistance.
