Alice Kingsleigh has put in the previous three years emulating her dad's example and cruising the high oceans. Upon her arrival to London from China, she finds that her ex, Hamish Ascot, has assumed control over her dad's organization and arrangements to have Alice offer him her dad's ship, 'the Wonder', in return for her family home.
